Chefs Up Front Denver

Chefs Up Front is a culinary extravaganza you do not want to miss! 
Please join Colorado’s top chefs as an event sponsor at the Colorado Convention Center on Sunday, April 24, 2016. Chef Alex Jun will be representing The Nickel at this very unique event benefiting Cooking Matters, a program of Share Our Strength’s national No Kid Hungry campaign.
The evening’s proceeds support Cooking Matters, a program of Share Our Strength’s national No Kid Hungry campaign, impacting the lives of more than 79,000 families at risk of hunger over the last twenty years.  With your sponsorship, our goal over the next year is to provide nutrition education to help more than 12,000 low-income Colorado families to stretch their food budgets and provide their children healthy means at home.
Cooking Matters participants learn to shop smarter, use nutrition information to make healthier food choices, and cook delicious, affordable meals.  We teach lasting skills that increase food availability for vulnerable families, while leveraging volunteers and partnerships for maximum impact.  A team of volunteer chefs, nutritionists, financial planners, and Cooking Matters staff teach a ‘gold standard’ curriculum at partner organizations across the state.  Chefs Up Front provides a fun and easy way to support these efforts and invest in our community, helping make sure that every child in CO gets the food they need to learn and thrive.
At Chefs Up Front, Colorado’s most sought-after chefs will prepare an elaborate meal tableside, for you and your guests, showcasing the style and cuisine of their restaurants.  Entrées will be expertly paired with wine selections from around the world.  A few of the 30 participating chefs this year – listed in full below – include Biju Thomas (Biju’s Little Curry Shop), Alex Jun (The Nickel), Jeff Osaka (Osaka Ramen/Sushi-Rama), and Darrel Truett (Barolo Grill).
